Zaloggos or Zalogko is one of the historical mountains of Greece. Located north of Preveza and belongs to mountain range Kasopaion of Epirus. His name was associated with the pre-revolutionary period of 1821 and especially the legendary dance of Zaloggos. In this area in 1803 when the Souli after years of struggles succumbed to Ali Pasha, 63 Souliotisses with children in arms singing and dancing fell from the cliff preferring to die rather than surrender to the conqueror. Symbol and memory sacrifice that is the imposing monument erected there in 1961. Visitors can arrive and admire the monument climbing the 410 steps that are starting the monastery of Agios Dimitrios.
